Nice. (To two great Danes)

There's not really much you can say about us
We don't bark, we don't growl and we don't make a fuss
We're not known for gambling or throwing the dice
But we're NICE
We have never been known to attack a stray cat
Or chase little birds, we don't care for that,
We do as we're told and they don't tell us twice
'Cause we're NICE
We are not two brave guard dogs patrolling the house
So no-one can get in, not even a mouse
In fact we're inclined to really like mice
For we're NICE
We are faithful and friendly and loving and kind
The very best Danes you are likely to find
Our owner believes we are pearls beyond price
We're so NICE.

Muscles Malone (A doberman)

When speaking of muscles I dont mean the kind
That are wheeled around on a barrow
The sort of strong muscles that are wrapped around me
Are those that go down to the marrow.
I am Muscles Maolne and the pride of the street
Other dogs give me room as they ought
Except for that Bulldog that lives in the pub
I don't tangle with jaws of that sort.
My coat's black and shining with patches of tan
I'm bounding with energy too
If you want a sedentary dog in your home
I'm not the right breed to suit you.
You can take me for walks for miles at a time
And endeavor to get me to tire
But when its all over I could do it again
Though you are about to expire.
I am Muscles Malone, I am sturdy and bright
And a much loved companion and guard
Though I'm gentle and sweet with my family and friends
God help stranger who creep in my yard!
