A Tribute to Megan

A leaf on the wind, a boat on the sea
As such, she has slipped from your hands.
But the place that she goes to, the things she will see
Are the Treasures of that far Land.

She dances on grass besprinkled with dew
And can eat from the bowl of her choice!
But amid all that Splendor, she's waiting for you,
Her ears ever cocked for your voice.

She knows the Decision you made was for her.
Escaped from all pain, she is free!
Sun-bright and puppy-young, she waits for your touch
Together, you'll share Eternity!

Lay down the leash, it's needed no more
In the Land where the leash laws are gone!
There'll be squirrels to chase, and you to adore!
And places for puppies to run!

Look toward the Light, Megan my friend,
And know that you're not far from mind.
Run free as the breeze, and bark as you please!
Your family is not far behind!
