The Neglected Puppy

Tied up in a yard, out in the cold.
With nothing to eat, because he was bold.

He didn't come when was ordered, he didn't sit when was told.
He wouldn't stop whining, so he's obviously been bold.

"Did you teach him to sit", "To come, stand and stay"?
"Of course I did, for ten minutes today.

"He's not stupid", "so he must know".
"He's only allowed to run when I tell him to go".

"He went to the toilet, over my clean kitchen floor".
"I can't afford to feed him, because we are so poor".

"I really do think that he should be sold".
"I was told he'd make a good guard dog but he's only been bold".

So the poor pup was taken and sold to a man who was rich.
Who when found him untrained, abandoned him in a ditch.
