Run in Steps

She sits there waiting at the end of the Hall,
Just waiting for someone to make the call,
Then some little boy called the name,
Then she stomped her little paws without any shame,
She stomped them fast and went to a run,
The little boy thought she must be having fun,
It was funny and fast,
And forever it would last.

Ode to Kabuki

First it was Spring, then it was Summer.
Then it was Fall, a whole lot funner.
Then it was Christmas Eve, time for the tree.
But Kabuki walked up to it and decided to pee.
Now the branches are brown and hanging low.
Kabuki dealt it a terrible blow.
Out of the house on Christmas morn.
Our tree is dead, tattered, and torn.

Puppy Love

My puppy came to our house one day,
She seemed to be smiling in a funny type of way.
She looked at me with her big soft eye's,
And seemed to say...
I love you! suprise!
The days went by and she grew and grew,
She was so special to me and still she seemed like new.
She ran and played with me all day,
She never tired she so loved to play.
She barked and fetched the balls I threw,
And when night came she never seemed through.
She would snuggle with me all night long,
She loved to hear me laugh and sing her a song.
She is still with me now though she's tired and weak,
She is still the best, the best I think.
