A DOG OWNERS PRAYER
O Lord don't let me once forget
How I love my trusty pet ---
Help me learn to disregard
canine craters in my yard,
Show me how to be a buddy
even when my sofa's muddy,
Don't allow my pooch to munch
postal carriers for lunch,
Shield my neighbor's cat from view'
guide my steps around the doo,
Train me not to curse and scowl
when it's puppy's night to howl.
Grant I shan't awake in fear
with a cold nose in my ear'
Give me patience without end ---

MY SPECIAL BEARDIE FRIEND -

I have a special Beardie Friend - A "Sheiling" Pup named Fergus,
Who has but two main goals in life .. to love us and to herd us.
Alas, when he first moved to my turf, I would sulk and I did pout
cos I just could not understand "what's all this fuss about?"
Now, we have just so much fun, FIESTY FERGIE and cautious me..
He showed me how to lift my leg and pee - upon a tree!!
Outside we walk like twins, on brace .. 'Tis a traffic stopping sight -
But we
know how to schmooze the crowds, we're so cute and so polite!!
Today, "Fluffball" becomes an "Open Class" - the end of his first year..
And he's become my soulmate.. I hope I've made that clear!
For if we had to choose once more - I'd take him - no other!!
'cos I have found my Pot O' Gold, - in Fergie - my wee brother!!

He's my best buddy .. I'll love him to death!
He shares all his toys, his "blankies" and food
We get into mischief .. but mostly we're good!
