She guideth me in the paths of safety for my life's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the thunder of the railroad station and among the mongrels of Flagler Street,
I will fear no evil,
for she is with me.

The creak of her harness and the jingle of her collar,
they comfort me.
She prepareth a way before me in the presence of all confusion.
She covereth my hand with affectionate licks and nibbles,
and my love for her runneth over.

Surely, with affection and correction,
I shall follow her all the days of her life,
and she will dwell in my heart forever.

In Memory of Sweet Hope
 

I didn’t get to know you very well
I had to be taken from you
You were so sick I could tell.
Separating all of us is what they had to do.

That didn’t stop my love
Hoping you would soon be okay
Depending on the powers from above
Waiting for that day.

Then once again you were feeling fine
What a joyous day.
No more painful time
Thanks to all those who cared enough to pray.

Just when things were going great
They decided you couldn’t be trusted.
It wasn’t your fault, just a twist of fate
IT’S NOT YOU who should be busted.

Now once again you will be taken from me
For reasons that are not fair.
I only wish that rescue could see
Your good points but it seems they don’t even care!!!!!!

Oh my heart is aching
You were put to eternal sleep
Didn’t they realize the mistake they were making?
They are causing hurt in many hearts so deep!!

Do they think that it’s fair?
Playing God with your life and others emotions?
Put you to sleep!!!  How could they dare!!
When there were so many who gave them other options.

I hope someday they realize
The error of their way.
I hope every time they look in my eyes
They remember the horror in your eyes on that day.

I hope you remembered the few
Dear Hope, my mother, as you breathed your last breath
The ones who fought the good fight for you.
As you were put to a senseless death!!!!

When you cross over the the bridge my sweet mother
Look for your children waiting for you up above
Especially dear Dozer my wonderful brother
And realize NOW you are surrounded by love.
